1. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using account-only features, you agree to these Terms and incorporated policies. Laffa accounts and transactions are for people aged 18 or older.

You may not use another person’s account without permission, create an account with misleading information, or use Laffa while permanently suspended.

2. Laffa’s marketplace role

Laffa operates the marketplace, discovery, communication, order, and protection tools. Listed items are offered by sellers, who are responsible for their right to sell and for listing accuracy.

A listing does not mean Laffa owns the item or automatically verifies authenticity or quality unless a specific authentication service is clearly shown on that listing.

3. Account security and verification

You are responsible for protecting account credentials and activity. Laffa may request phone, identity, address, business, payout, or payment verification where needed for safety, KYC, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Certain features, especially selling or payouts, may be restricted until required verification is completed.

4. Content and listings

Listings must represent real items available for sale with accurate photos, information, condition, size, price, and authenticity claims. You warrant that you own or are authorized to use uploaded content.

You grant Laffa a non-exclusive license to host, display, format, and use your uploaded content as needed to operate the service and promote the listing within Laffa services. You retain ownership of your content.

5. Prohibited conduct

• Fraud, deception, impersonation, or manipulation of prices or reviews.
• Selling prohibited, stolen, counterfeit, or unauthorized goods.
• Harassment, threats, hateful conduct, or sexually explicit content.
• Scraping user data, abusing systems, bypassing protections, or distributing malicious code.
• Moving a transaction that began on Laffa to outside payment or negotiation in order to bypass protection tools or disclosed fees.

6. Offers, Bundles, and purchases

Offers and counteroffers form part of the in-platform negotiation record. Before a paid purchase, the buyer must be shown item details, price, fees, shipping, and relevant cancellation/return terms and be able to review selections before final confirmation.

Before a paid contract is finalized, legally required seller/service-provider identity and contact information, transaction steps, and execution/delivery details are also made available as required by law, while keeping those details private outside the transaction context.

When payment is enabled, checkout will state when an order becomes binding and what cancellation options remain available.

7. Fees, payments, and shipping

Applicable fees are described in the Fee Policy and displayed before transaction confirmation. No payment or courier provider is treated as active unless officially shown in checkout or the order flow.

Post-purchase obligations are also governed by the Buyer, Seller, Shipping, and Returns policies.

8. Intellectual property

The Laffa name, logos, platform design, software, and Laffa-owned content are protected. They may not be copied, scraped, or reused outside ordinary service use without permission.

Requests to remove content that infringes third-party rights are handled under the Intellectual Property Policy.

9. Suspension and termination

Laffa may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts for violations, security risks, fraud, legal requests, or user protection. We aim for proportionate enforcement while reserving stronger action for serious or repeated violations.

10. Liability and mandatory rights

The service is provided as available and technical interruptions may occur. These Terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit mandatory consumer rights.

Users are responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for losses caused by their violation of these Terms, applicable law, or others’ rights.

11. Governing law, disputes, and contact

These Terms are governed by applicable Libyan law. We ask users to use Laffa’s complaint and dispute tools first; this does not prevent access to competent authorities or courts where the law provides that right.
